Morelli's Gelato was founded by Giuseppe Morelli in 1907 when he began selling homemade gelato from the back of his bicycle around the English seaside resort of Broadstairs. Since opening their first ice cream caffe, Morelli's has expanded both locally and internationally, boasting a number of stores available in exclusive locations worldwide such as Cafe de Paris, Monte Carlo, and the Dubai Mall. Morelli's gelato is a high quality premium product, made fresh daily on site in all their Gelateria Caffes.  Global Restaurant Concepts Inc., a Filipino-owned company, brought this iconic, world famous brand to the country to the overwhelming delight of the Filipino populace.

When we were invited at Morelli's Gelato in Shangri-La Plaza Mall, we tried their Morelli's Bacio and Knickerbocker Glory Sundae. We loved the richness and flavorful taste in our cups from gelato and crunchy Piemonte hazelnuts up to the chocolate truffle and Magnum chocolate in my Morelli's Bacio. Hubbylove enjoyed the combination of gelato and fresh fruits in his Knickerbocker Glory Sundae. Our babylove Skye, being a spaghetti lover, feasted on their Spaghetti Ice, a bowl of gelato served spaghetti style with fresh whipped cream and strawberry sauce as topping. We also tried their Crema and Soft Vanilla Affogato coffee. The latter is sweeter than the Crema coffee but both are equally good.

We visited the Morelli's again on the following weekend and we tried their gelato scoops. We ordered their pistachio, black chocolate and truffle. We loved every single bite! Especially our fave pistachio gelato. You can tell the quality of gelato from the pistachio and Morelli's pistachio is pure love. The premium pistachio nuts were from the famous land of pistachio, the Bronte - a small village perched on the side of Mount Etna in Sicily.
